Traditional Oil Bath (Dough Basti) Therapy Menu

Medicines are customized and uniquely crafted with individualized herbal formulas and traditional Vedic mantra for each client’s preparation.

Basti therapies (Oil Bath) are recommended when a need for clearing, nourishing, soothing or rejuvenating tissue in a localized area is indicated. Commonly used on energy centers, or chakras, these therapies stimulate movement and healing through the chosen area. A circular dam made from organic urad dahl (chick pea flour) is sealed in place around the indicated region. Warm medicated oil or milk is poured into the dam and replenished after it cools. These medicines are specifically prepared to penetrate deep into the localized area to warm and soften the tissue, and detoxify vital points which affect the body and mind.

Maximum results occur after three to seven days of continual treatments. How many treatments are recommended depend on the severity of your symptoms and your current level of pain.
